"SanoVet Top LYSIN + E" has a very high concentration of lysine (500,000 mg / kg). Horses can tolerate these amounts without any problems.

B vitamins in a high concentration promote the energy metabolism in the nerve cells and thus also support the regeneration of the nerve cells.

Vitamin E supports the immune system and fights the so-called "free radicals" that are formed when exposed to particular stress.

Dosage recommendations:

Horse (500 kg): 50g/day divided into 2 meals

Information about B-vitamins: B-vitamins in high concentrations promote energy metabolism in nerve cells and therefore support the regeneration of nerve cells.

Information about Vitamin E: Vitamin E supports the immune system and combats the so-called "free radicals" that are formed under special stress. These free radicals are responsible for cell damage. Antioxidants intercept "free radicals" and thus preserve the function of the cells.

General information about Lysine: In biochemistry, lysine is the antagonist of arginine. The amino acid arginine supports the multiplication of the herpes virus in the body. Laboratory studies have shown that L-lysine displaces L-arginine and thus competitively inhibits its function. The virus mistakenly incorporates L-lysine into its proteins, halting its growth. The intake of lysine thus inhibits virus growth, mainly by significantly reducing the accessible amount of arginine for the virus. TOP LYSINE + E contains a very high concentration of lysine (500,000 mg/kg). These amounts are well-tolerated by horses without any problems.

Prof. Dr. Lutz Göhring, Dipl. ACVIM, Clinic for Horses - Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich, recommends treating the entire horse population with vitamin E and/or the amino acid L-lysine as a supportive measure against Equine Herpes Virus EHV-1:
