General Description:
BONE VITAL consists of essential minerals and vitamins that play a significant role, particularly for mares and foals. These include vitamins A, C, E, D3, K3, B-complex vitamins, folic acid, biotin, iron, copper, manganese, zinc, cobalt, selenium, as well as calcium and phosphorus.
In the last trimester of pregnancy, the calcium and phosphorus requirements of mares increase by 1.5 times as they are needed for the development of the foal's skeleton. Lactating mares also require increased amounts of calcium and phosphorus, as well as vitamin A and vitamin E, to ensure sufficient nourishment of the foal through milk. Adequate supply of the trace element selenium is important for muscles and the heart. Selenium deficiency in pregnant mares can lead to heart and skeletal abnormalities in foals. The manganese requirement should also be met to support the development of bones, tendons, and joints, thus promoting a healthy musculoskeletal system.
This mineral feed does not replace appropriate rearing with ample exercise and does not fulfill protein requirements.
